Fostering

Please consider opening your hearts and homes to a dog in need...   We are a small rescue and need quality, committed foster homes.    It is not an easy job and can be heartbreaking at times.  But when you see them in their forever homes and how far they have come, we guarantee it will all be worth it.

Please fill out the application in it's entirety.    We will contact you ASAP!   There are a lot of dogs out there that are euthanized every day.   Every foster home means a life saved!

We will provide all vet care, crates, supplies and food.  We welcome donations of food and supplies if a foster is able.

The responsibility of the foster home will be to provide daily care, grooming and shelter for the dog in their home.   Socializing with other dogs, cats and humans/children if available. (This will depend on each individual dog.)  Most of the dogs that come into rescue need to learn some basic manners and house/crate training.   A lot of them have been picked up as strays and might not have ever been in a home setting.     We ask that you take your foster on some outings if possible to get them out into public places like Petco, Petsmart, Home Depot and other pet friendly places so they have some exposure to the outside world.     Please check with the rescue or individual locations however to make sure they allow dogs and only bring them in public once they have learned some basic manners and will walk nicely on a leash.

We occasionally need the dogs to go to vet appointments.    If you are able to bring them that is great!  If not, we can arrange to bring them to the appointment.   Our fosters are a huge part of the dogs lives and we love to have you involved in the whole process.  Once an application comes back for your dog, we will forward it to you to look over.  If we agree it seems like a good possible fit and you are comfortable with it, you will arrange a time for a home visit/meet and greet where you'll bring the dog to the potential adopters home.  We rely on our fosters to make good judgments regarding the home environment and the dogs reactions in the new home.  If there are any red flags then we want to know about them immediately.

Please complete our Foster Application.  Once we get an application back we will do a quick home visit, with the foster dog if we have them already. If all goes well then they can stay at that point.   We like to have a few foster homes ready to go before we commit to pulling dogs!
